The Gaston Gazette and The Star are teaming up to track down the best Christmas displays in our area.
From now until Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m., you can take a photo of your lights display and enter it here. Entries will be posted online at GastonGazette.com and ShelbyStar.com for others to view. Your address will be added to an interactive online map so contest voters may drive by and see your holiday display.
Visit this page beginning Thursday, Dec. 11 to cast your vote. You can vote multiple times — once per hour — for your favorite until Dec. 21.
The entry with the highest number of votes will receive an animal safari encounter ($250 retail value) hosted by Zootastic Park in Troutman, NC. The winner and their family (up to six people) will schedule a time with the owner, Scottie Brown, to have a private showing and interactive experience with live baby animals. Zootastic Park is currently open to the public for their annual Christmas Light Show.
